Created in 1994 with the premise of giving to the public a product of tested quality, where they show different national and international genres that allow the spectator to be a witness of an unforgettable moment, the musical group Sol de Cuba is the result of a highly artistic and professional work where five musicians graduated from art schools.

In Sol de Cuba Group are included names like José Bustillo Torres, exceptional guitar player, who created a personal new style within the Cuban popular music and also a founder of a name group in the so-called "afrocuban rock" -we are speaking about "Sintesis" Group-, where he was revealed not only as a guitar player but also as an arranger and because of his great talent to combine the voices that set the pace in that popular group.

Pedro Romero also joins the roster as interpreter and composer with a huge prestige and winner of several awards in important contests like "Adolfo Guzmán" and , finally, three women with a special sensitivity who decided to assume the music and offer their best in favor of the Cuban identity. They play piano, percussion and bass, creating a special signature sound for Sol de Cuba along with Pedro and Bustillo.

With a very well defined repertory including Son, Boleros, Cha cha chá, Traditional and Country music, Rumba, Guaguancó, going also through overseas rhythms such as Samba, Bossa Nova, Joropo, Blues, Cumbias, Jazz, Merengues and Calipso, among some others, Sol de Cuba line-up is proving its artistic creative achievement.

It is necessary also to add that the sonority they have achieved, has a very singular style evinced by the way they assume the music they create, aimed mainly (not obviating thier Cuban roots) at pervading the popular music with contemporary elements and fresh arrangements gratefully-received by the audience.

Sol de Cuba has been performing in the most important tourist centers in Cuba; they have also aired at some radio and TV programs and performed at outstanding national events

Their profile at overseas scenes includes performances in Latin America, the Caribbean, Eastern and Western Europe, Near and Far Orient and Africa, gaining the critic and public`s favorable appraisal.

Authenticity, Cuban taste, innate aesthetic sense and undoubted professionalism are the natural hallmarks for Sol de Cuba, a Cuban group making unforgettable every performance.
